2) Minutes of the last meeting
Accepted and signed by Jane.
3) Matter Arising
a) Jilly has put a questionnaire together and read out a list of 12 suggested questions which was agreed. A number of questionnaires will now be printed out to be handed out at future away matches.
b) The Bath match was okay for access. The Committee thanked Neil for all his work.
c) This has now been completed.
d) Jane and Andy are meeting next week.
e) We are looking the cost of hiring the ‘Bunyan Boat’ for a trip.
Linda will come back to Margaret with prices. The trip could be the end of May or early June.
f) After discussion between Kevin and Amy, she agreed that she will let us have the Larry Webb room for our meetings as and when it is available.
4) Treasurers Report
Geoff presented the current position with regard to our current finances.
5) Memberships & Outings Report
Outings
As of the meeting there are 19 booked on the coach to go to Ampthill leaving at 12.30pm and, 16 currently booked on the coach to Hartpury leaving at 10.00am.
Memberships
No change to membership.
6) Coach Raffle Prizes
There will only be the coach sweepstake on the Ampthill trip due to time constraints. Following the hurried coach raffle prize draw and number of prizes on the Chinnor trip it was agreed that in the future there would be a maximum of 12 prizes and travellers would be encouraged to take their prize even if they win more than one. Redraws only cause confusion and take a lot more time.
We are now looking for volunteers from the Committee to stand as
“No. 2’s” for each officer position.
7) Committee Succession
No volunteers and no further discussion.
8) Marketing/Website
This has taken a little longer that expected to set up but will be completed within the next week or so.
9) Marketing/Website
Jilly is now attending the ‘Blues Family Working Group’ with Jane representing the Followers.
b) It was agreed to advertise the Followers 75th Anniversary shirts to all members only by email.
c) Following an incident at the Bath match where a member, who was watching the match on television phoned in their pick for MoM, which was not accepted, it was reiterated and again agreed that a Committee decision made 3-4 years ago that only members attending the game qualify to vote for MoM.
d) Making supporters aware of where we were going to be standing at Bath was successful with the majority gathering, making a lot of noise and greatly adding to the atmosphere. We could look at doing this at future away games where appropriate.
e) Neil asked if ‘Crowd Angel’ was being used in Goldington Road. Jane said that, at the moment, it was only being used by Blues staff and the stewards.
f) The question of unclaimed jackpot prizes at home games was raised. At the moment there are 10 unclaimed prizes and as there is a time limit on claiming the prize it was suggested that we look at more way of advertising the winning numbers to ensure, as far as is possible, the prize is claimed.
10) The next meeting will be on Thursday 13th March 2025 at 6.30pm in the SDC Suite.
