BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
Bookings for the Bedford Blues Supporters Club (BBSC) coach can be made online or in the BBSC cabin at Goldington Road (located between the Dovecote Suite and The Scrum Bar) on match days. Online bookings require instant payment (bank or credit card) or payment can be made in person by cash or card in the BBSC office on match days.
Provisional bookings can be made by telephone to Margaret Appleton on 01234 354708. Payment must be made in advance of the trip to confirm your place.
To enable us to keep prices down, we will not offer refunds for cancellations or ‘no shows’ on the day.
Bedford Blues Supporters Club coach bookings are £12 for Members and £17 for Non-members.
You do NOT need to collect or print out any coach tickets to travel with the BBSC - your name will automatically be added to the list of those travelling. Just say your name as you board the coach so you can be ticked off the list.
OUTWARD DEPARTURE TIME & LOCATION
This will be advised by Margaret Appleton at time of booking. Online bookings will list details in the description area. For the 2025/26 season the coach pick up meeting point is the Bus Stop at the top end of Bushmead Avenue & Goldington Road junction.
Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time so that departure is not delayed.
PARKING
There is FREE car parking (via a permit issued by Geoff Appleton) at the hospital car park at the back of the rugby club which over looks the training pitch. Please wait in the car park for Geoff Appleton to give you a parking permit for the day. The permit must be displayed in the front windscreen of your car. You can then make your way to the coach pick up meeting point.
ON THE COACH
We are a Supporters Club so please keep the journey enjoyable, respectful and welcoming for everyone on the coach. Anyone who acts in a way that spoils the experience for others may not be able to join future trips.
FOOD & DRINK: You are welcome to bring your own food & drink on board. (No glass bottles - see below).
FACILITIES: The coaches we use have an onboard toilet. On longer journeys we may stop at the services. Most of the coaches we use have adjustable seating & air conditioning.
CASH: On the coach we run a raffle & a final score sweepstake. On the return journey, we have a collection for our driver. It is far easier & quicker for us if people can bring cash.
RAFFLE: If you would like to donate a prize for the on board raffle, it would be very welcome - please bring it with you. Prizes are typically - chocolates, biscuits, packs of beer & bottles of wine. We are always looking for other types of prizes, other than food & drink, that may be suitable for our raffle. If you are a local business & would like to donate a prize please get in touch.
GLASS BOTTLES / GLASSES: For safety reasons, glass bottles & drinking glasses are not allowed on the coach. Should you win a bottle of wine in the raffle, we will keep it until we arrive back in Bedford.
RUBBISH: The coach driver may provide bags throughout the coach so please place your rubbish in them if available. If not, please take all your rubbish with you when leaving the coach.
BEDFORD BLUES SUPPORTERS CLUB MOTM PRESENTATION
At away games, we present a bottle of Champagne to the Bedford player voted ‘Man Of The Match’. From 2026 we are trialing a new digital voting system. This is open to all BBSC Members including those that can’t travel with us to the game but watch via the ClubberTV stream. All members have been emailed details about how to join the new BBSC WhatsApp Channel and place their vote. The MOTM vote will open at half time and a link to the vote will be sent to members via the new BBSC WhatsApp Channel at approx 60 minutes in to the game. Voting closes just after full time. Bedford Blues Supporters Club MOTM presentation takes place immediately following the end of the game. Please get involved by applauding the players & the MOTM for their efforts, show off your Blues colours in the background of photos, take photos of the presentation for social media (be sure to tag BBSC & the club) etc.
RETURN DEPARTURE TIME & LOCATION
We will always announce the location & departure time of the coach for the return journey once we arrive at the away ground. (It isn’t always where we are dropped off!). As a general rule, the return departure time is ASAP after the BBSC Man Of The Match presentation.
COACH SPONSORSHIP
To help keep coach travel affordable we welcome Coach Sponsorship from individuals or businesses.
The Coach Sponsorship is priced at a minimum of £100 per away trip (you are of course welcome to give more if you wish).
Included in the Coach Sponsorship is travel to the away game of your choice & the opportunity to present the bottle of Champagne to the Bedford Blues Supporters Club Man Of The Match (subject to availability).
You will be acknowledged on the Bedford Blues Supporters Club website & our social media channels (if you wish to remain anonymous that is perfectly fine & you are welcome to select someone to present the MOTM Champagne on your behalf).
